Dr. Westhafer received his undergraduate degree (cum laude) in Biological Sciences from the Ohio State University in 1983. He went on to graduate from The Ohio State University College of Dentisty in 1987. He was a Distinguished Graduate of the Advanced General Dental Residency Program in the United States Air Force in 1988. He then served for three additional years as a dentist in the Air Force before beginning private practice. He has been serving the Akron area since 1991. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Westhafer has completed numerous advanced continuing education seminars including the esteemed Pankey Institute. He is a member of The Seattle Study Club of Akron which consists of a group of dentists committed to providing a high level of advanced continuing education and care. He is also a member of the Akron Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association and American Dental Association. Dr. Westhafer has also been rated by his peers as one of the area's "Top Dentists" for five consecutive years in Cleveland Magazine and Akron Life and Leisure Magazine. Dr. Westhafer and his dedicated staff strive to ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care available.
